In Memory
Two weeks ago tonight, my Granny passed away from this earth. She had just turned 95 years old two days before she died. We all went to the funeral in Sheffield, AL (her home town) the following week. It has been hard saying goodbye to my sweet Granny. But I am thankful that she has now gone to her eternal home to be with God. I got a card from some friends at church that said just the right thing.....
"We don't like to say good-bye to those whom we love. It is right for us to weep, but there is no need for us to despair. They had pain here. They have no pain there. They struggled here. They have no struggles there. They are, at this very moment at peace in the presence of God."
Those words brought comfort to me when I read them and they continue to do so each day. Granny will be missed, but she will continue to live on in our memories.

I am sorry for your loss Joni. You and your family will be in our prayers.
I was so sad to hear about your granny. I know that was hard. You always spoke so fondly of her... we're thinking about you.
