We decided to become Zoo members last weekend. Now that the weather is nice we thought this would be something fun we could do together. And we came across a great coupon where we got $10 off. When we added up how much we spend if we went to the zoo on our own, the membership would have paid for itself in 2 1/2 visits. We thought that was a deal. At Lilly's age you never know what kind of mood she will be in, so this way we can go and stay for an hour or so and not feel like we have wasted our money. If we didn't get to see some of the animals, they will for sure be there when we go back.













We took Lilly to the Zoo once last year and she seemed to like looking at the animals and all. But this time was a completely different story....She was laughing at the monkeys running around, pointing at each animal, and looking with the biggest eyes as if she couldn't believe she was looking at real animals. She was delighted!













Her favorite animal was the panda bear! The pandas were both eating their massive pieces of bamboo (every time we see them they are eating the bamboo or sleeping.) Lilly kept looking at the pandas, then looking back as me as if to say I can't believe this is a real bear and it is actually eating something. Then she spotted the little stone panda you see in the picture and she made a bee line for it and bent over, reached her hand out, and barely touched it. When she realized it wasn't real, she started hugging it, petting it, and of course pulling us over to see what she had discovered. I can tell from this first visit, we will be making many more trips back to the Zoo.
