Kindermusik

For the past 12 weeks Lilly has gotten involved with Kindermusik. She absolutely loves it! Lea Talley teaches it at our church and she is wonderful with the kids. I thought Lilly was to young for something like this when I signed us up, but Lea kept telling me that some kids start even as babies. The first day we went to class, I introduced us saying that it was our first class and Lilly was 17 months at the time we started. Everyone else was saying how their child had been in classes since they were about 9 or 10 months. I was so surprised.

Lilly caught on right away with learning all the new songs and she just had a ball dancing around the room, learning about and playing the instruments, and interacting with other kids. We had a party to celebrate the end of our classes where all the kids came together and had a class time for all the parents. Josh was shocked at how well Lilly did and the whole new side to her personality that he saw that night. She wanted to be the center of attention and kept running to the middle of the circle as if to say "notice me." Kindermusik was a great thing for me and Lilly to do together and it really helped her learn so much! We are most definately going to sign up for classes again soon...
