The new do.....
The thing with a little girl, is you have to know how to fix her hair. Most boys have had a haircut by now and it is a nice little cropped do that most moms just have to wet and comb into place. Well it is a different story for a little girl.
Josh and I had the talk about when to cut Lilly's hair for the first time. I really want to wait until after she turns two (August 16.) Josh has already been saying the time is now. But I have heard if we do it now and cut off her curls they will never come back. And we did decide that we were not going to do bangs for now. That just seems like one more thing to fix before we go out.
So here we have it the new look...pigtails! I also heard them called dog ears and two pony tails. I think I will stick with pigtails.
As you can see Lilly is fascinated by the flowers. She loves to pick them and hand them to us with the sweetest little smile. And it is so adorable, you can't tell her not to pick them. And I am sure more flowers will bloom on the bushes anyways.
Her favorite place to be is in the backyard. There is so much to do back there. Today she found my garden gloves, put them on, and started to pick the weeds. I thought all this time she had been playing while I was trying to make our flower beds look good, but now I know she was really does notice everything I do.

Wow! She has gotten so big!
Gotta love a lil girl in pigtails, she is too cute! Your landscaping looks great. I love it when everything starts to bloom.
oh.my.goodness. that is serious cuteness.
we miss you guys...wish I could see her!!!
I know how you feel about the hair. Hannah has always had a lot of hair and has already had three haircuts. But I just don't want to cut the back (don't know why). So the past few days she seems to have a serious mullet:) I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and just cut the back. Everyone keeps telling me that the sides are going to catch up but it isn't looking like that will happen anytime soon. Lilly's hair looks really cute in those pigtails.
