Choo...Choo.....
Lilly has a new fascination with trains. Whenever we are outside and she hears the train she stops and says "train, I hear it." She loves to go to the bookstore and play at the train table. And when we went to the Silver Caboose on Mother's day she had to get up close to the trains in the square. I realize that it is a little late to be posting on Mother's day, but time has gotten away from me once again....
The silver caboose is one of my favorite restaurants and it is only open for lunch and on Friday nights. So I love to go eat there Sunday after church. It is the perfect spot for a good home cooked meal. And if we have a little wait, we can just go and hang out in the square or by the trains. So for Mother's day I chose the Silver Caboose for our lunch spot. It was great! This was my second Mother's day and I am so thankful that I am a mom now. I am amazed at how Lilly has grown in the past year and the way her personality and character are being shaped day by day. I am filled with such love for her and thank God for blessing me with such a precious child to share my life with. Motherhood is truly a gift from God. And yes I do have those moments when I stop and wonder what in the world I have gotten myself into, but just about that time Lilly looks at me with one of her smiles and comes over and says in the sweetest little voice "hold me, mommy." That is about as precious as it gets.
