She's Two!
I can't believe she is already two! The birthday has come and gone. They really do mean it when they say it goes fast. We had a Luau party in the backyard with family and friends. My mom made Lilly's beach cake and it was delicious - a pound cake! Lilly even blew out her own candle this year.
We made a walkway with Tiki torches and then had a welcome sign (made by Miss LouAnne - she is awesome!) Everyone entered into the backyard to find beach balls everywhere, a sand table, fun music, and bubbles. The kids loved it! They went from the sand table to throwing the beach balls through hula hoops, running through the bubbles to pinning the coconut on the tree. Lilly had a blast. She was so excited every time one of her friends arrived. After we played for a while we went inside to cool off and eat. The kids had chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-A. The moms and dads had chicken salad and sandwiches. There was also lots of fruit - strawberries, grapes, watermelon, and pineapple (thanks Nana for making that awesome watermelon bowl!) We had spinach dip and chips and goldfish for the kids. We cleared the play room out and set up tables for people to eat on. We also made a spot in the living room for the kiddos to eat picnic style on the floor.
After some more playing, we cut the cake and sang Happy Birthday. Then it was time for presents. The party went so well. We couldn't have asked for better weather. The kids were all so well behaved, they all just played together and had fun. Thanks to Nana, Papa, and Totsie - I couldn't have pulled everything off without their help. Even though Lilly may not remember much about her big party, we always will and we have tons of pictures to show her one day....
Thanks to everyone who made Lilly feel special on her big day!

I can’t believe Lilly is 2, man it’s gone by so fast. It looks like everyone had a great time at the party, everything looked so cute. Sorry we missed you a few weeks ago in Atlanta, I think we always manage to be there a week apart. Hopefully we will catch each other soon! Happy Birthday to you as well this week!
It all looked awesome!! I'm so sorry that I couldn't be there. You guys did a great job.
I HATE that we were out of town and missed the fun!!
The party is over the top cute, Joni! I just LOVE the sign that LouAnn made for you. And, the food looked so cute and yummy! I really am sad we missed it.
I have a present for Lilly. Let's get together soon!
