First Haircut

Josh kept asking when we were going to get Lilly's hair cut. The reply was after she turned two. When two came, I just couldn't bear the thought of cutting it with all of her little curls on the bottom. But as the time wore on it just kept getting out of control. I finally gave in last week. Josh had an appointment with Eden (Friday Jan. 15), so I decided to make one for Lilly right before his cut. Lilly has seen Eden at church and recognizes her as being somewhat familiar. We were not quite sure how she would do sitting still in a chair with scissors up against her head.....but to our surprise she did great! She just sat there in awe of the entire salon. She was fascinated by looking into the large mirror in front of her and loved wearing the black cape. It was to cute! Eden cut about an inch off, just to trim up the ends and it turned out looking so good! I even saved a few pieces of hair for the scrapbook, of course! Afterwards she was rewarded with a chocolate chip cookie from Eden and we had to stay and check out Dad getting his done. Lilly loved watching him get shampooed. Maybe we will try that for her next time. I can't believe how big she is getting. It really goes by fast.
